Star Wars Celebration 2020 Sells Out in Record Time

Star Wars Celebration is a Star Wars fans’ dream come true. After months of preparation and lack of sleep, fans come together to show off their best cosplay’s of their favorite characters, getting an autograph and or photo with their favorite character, or just simply enjoying the moment of being able to get breaking Star Wars news firsthand.

On June 21st, ticket sales started at noon ET/9 am PT. Within just a few hours, and setting a new record in doing so, both 4-day tickets and the VIP-level Jedi Master Packages completely sold out. According to Star Wars Celebration’s Twitter account, Saturday day passes sold out within four hours while other daily passes are still available:

One has to guess why tickets sold so quickly. Some speculate that many convention-goers will be utilizing the time at Star Wars Celebration to also visit Galaxy’s Edge. Might as well make it or break it (money wise)! Another logical assumption is that 2020 will be the 40th anniversary of the fan-favorite ‘Empire Strikes Back’. Whether they decide on how to mark the occasion is totally unclear, but when we find out, you’ll be the first to know!

Star Wars Celebration will take place in Anaheim, CA from August 27-30, 2020.
