Sweet Summer Baby Yoda

Today we received some bittersweet news – Baby Yoda merch exists! The Mandalorian’s fan favorite character can soon be yours. Well, if you consider May of 2020 to be soon.

Hasbro has announced its line of Baby Yoda merchandise, it looks just as adorable as you would imagine. News anchor Clayton Sandell tweeted the pictures below:

The featured product is a 7.5” inch plush, complete with a bowl of soup and a Sorgan frog, the Child’s favorite snack. Oh, and lest I forget – according to Good Morning America, he talks. You know what that means! Our boy is going to speak by the end of the show, and I can’t wait to hear what he’s got to say.

We’re also getting a 6.5” inch version, as well as other, smaller variations, including a spot in The Black Series toy line.

It’s unfortunate that we won’t get anything until May 2020, especially with the holidays right around the corner. But hey, anyone with a summer birthday (for example, this writer) is in for a treat! As we know from my article earlier this month, Favreau went above and beyond to keep Baby Yoda a secret, including working with toy companies and Disney to hold off on any and all merchandising.

The toys are available for pre-order, however, so you can still put the Child on your holiday wish list! Think of it as an exercise in patience. But maybe this will hold you over for the time being.
