The Mandalorian Proves Streaming is the Future of Disney

Disney+ has been a hit since its launch day rocketed into a one-day turnaround of over 10 million subscribers. Thanks to the worldwide TV sensation, The Mandalorian, the famous Star Wars TV show boosted the overall appeal of the streaming service through a vigorous marketing campaign.

Through the help of The Mandalorian, the combination of Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ have grown to become an important and necessary asset for the Mouse. In fact, reports show that the market value for Disney+ have increased to $108 billion, making it worth 34% of Disney’s total value of $320 billion. That may sound like a lot, because it is.

With The Mandalorian being the very first live-action Star Wars TV show, Disney made sure to launch the service through the hype of this now-famous TV series. If Disney knows how to do one thing, they know how to make money. Future monetary endeavors coming to Disney+ include the long-awaited Clone Wars Season 7 on February 17th as well as other exciting Star Wars series like the untitled Kenobi and Cassian Andor series.

If there is one thing Disney has learned from Disney+, they can’t succeed without Star Wars.
