As you’ve heard by now, the community received word that a remake of Knights of the Old Republic could be in the works.
Similar rumors circulated back in 2015, but were squashed the following year when it was being shelved for the time being. But, according to Cinelinx, it’s becoming a very likely possibility.
Cinelinx claims two sources confirming the remake, one of which stated “it wasn’t so much a remake, but a ‘sequel’ of sorts. It would be a Knights of the Old Republic project that would integrate elements from the first two games in order to bring certain things into the current Star Wars canon. Not necessarily a remake, so much as a re-imagining.”
In other exciting gaming news, it seems we may get a video game tie-in to the mysterious Project Luminous. As I reported earlier this month, the project will supposedly be similar to the MCU model, containing individual, independent stories that will be brought together in bigger films.
Jordan Maison, the editor-in-chief at Cinelinx, tweeted about the tie-in game on Wednesday:
We’ll have to wait for more developments, but as someone who never got to experience KOTOR in its original iteration, I’m excited for a chance to jump in.
