Jedi: Fallen Order to Hit 10 Million Units Sold

Respawn’s Jedi: Fallen Order, released in November of 2019, is on track to hit 10 million copies sold by the end of the fiscal year. This far surpasses what the 6-8 million EA projected for the game’s sales. Eddie Makuch, reporter for GameSpot Australia, got the news from EA CEO Blake Jorgensen.

The company recently had a “quarterly earnings call discussing how well their titles have sold,” according to Star Wars News Net. It was said that Battlefront II was also selling above expectation.

Jedi: Fallen Order landed in the top ten best-selling games for 2019, and was the fifth best-selling game for PS4 and XBox One.

Even more importantly, the game is EA’s second best-selling game of the year, just behind Madden NFL 20. This is great news for a single-player game. Multi-players have been king of the castle for a while, so Fallen Order is bucking the trend. And with the inevitable sequel coming, may EA will put more time into developing other single-player games inside Star Wars and outside of it.
