More than one source says that WWE star Sasha Banks has shot several scenes for Season Two of “The Mandalorian.”
Banks, who’s real name is Mercedes Justine Kaestner-Varnado, hasn’t wrestled since January of this year, lending credence to the possibility that she’s been otherwise occupied with filming.
This will be Bank’s first acting gig, though it’s not uncommon for the WWE to produce actors, such as John Cena and The Rock. Also, “The Mandalorian” is not at all unfamiliar with female fighters-turned-actors, as we’ve seen in Cara Dune of Alderaan’s Gina Carano, a former mixed martial artist who has already appeared in several other things, including “Deadpool” and “Almost Human.”
Not much is known about season two of “The Mandalorian,” and there is no other information on Banks’ inclusion in the season apart from her having already shot scenes for it.
Season Two of “The Mandalorian” is set to premiere in October 2020.
