‘The Rise of Skywalker’ Gets the Shakespearean Treatment

Star Wars has always contained a Shakespearean spirit, something Ian Doescher recognized when he began his Star Wars-as-Shakespeare series. Doescher has adapted each of the Skywalker saga films into authentic Shakespearean dramas, and now The Rise of Skywalker will join the others on the bookshelf.

William Shakespeare’s The Merry Rise of Skywalker is available July 28th, and StarWars.com has an exclusive look at the front cover.

We’ve got the Dyad themselves front and center, with some sick armor and lightsabers ablaze. There are some other figures, smaller and in the bottom corners – tell us who you think they are in the comments!

The website will have an exclusive passage from the book next week, so check back with us for an update!
