Boba Fett to Have ‘Larger Role’ in Season Three of ‘The Mandalorian’

With the news out that Temuera Morrision will play Boba Fett in season two of The Mandalorian, rumors quickly followed that he will also be playing Captain Rex, alongside special guests Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren. Now, a new report from The Direct explains that Boba Fett will have an even larger role in season three of the space western.

“According to a reliable source with industry knowledge, fan-favorite bounty hunter Boba Fett will return for The Mandalorian’s third season, currently in early development. Temuera Morrison will reprise the role, and the infamous captor of Han Solo is said to play a much larger part in Season 3 of Din Djarin’s story than he will in the second season.”

While Boba Fett’s screen time may be limited in season two, it sounds like Favreau and company are settling on him to be the show’s new long-term asset. Although The Direct’s claim may come from a “reliable source,” we’ll toss this one in the rumor basket until we get some additional confirmation. And if and when this report gets confirmed, let’s hope Baby Yoda’s fate doesn’t lie with Boba Fett.
