‘Rebels’ Sequel Gets a New Look

While we still haven’t received confirmation from Disney or Lucasfilm, rumors about a Rebels sequel still run amok.

A recent video from Kessel Run Transmissions revealed that the supposed sequel series would be set up through an episode of The Mandalorian. We’ve heard rumors of a live-action Ahsoka Tano, and more recently, Sabine Wren. The folks at Kessel Run believe the two will show up in an episode of The Mandalorian, saying, “They’re only in one episode…They’re going to kinda be there and set up for the Rebels sequel.”

If Ahsoka and Sabine do show up, this is a logical conclusion to draw. Dave Filoni recently said there is always potential for more stories from Rebels characters.

Kessel Run also revealed the Rebels sequel will look a little different – “I should also mention that the animation is 100% like Clone Wars. It’s not, um, the old Rebels animation style.”

This is an understandable decision. Clone Wars came so far in terms of animation – in part because of the progress made in Rebels – and we only got to see the beautiful cinematic animation for twelve episodes. It makes sense to use those skills on an upcoming Rebels show.

What do you guys think? Are you excited for more Rebels content?
