Jason Isaacs Wants to Play the Grand Inquisitor Again

Star Wars Rebels featured some of the galaxy’s most popular characters, including Ahsoka, Captain Rex, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, and many more. In fact, some of these characters are set to make their very first live-action appearance in season two of The Mandalorian.

While some are debating whether this is a good idea or not, Jason Isaacs, voice actor for the Grand Inquisitor in Rebels, voiced his opinion in an interview with Collider on why he’d like to see his character in live-action form someday.

He has the coolest lightsaber in the entire Star Wars Universe.

Pretty simple reason. While Isaacs’ answer isn’t some form of confirmation that this will ever happen, it has sparked some interest among many outspoken Star Wars fans. I, for one, would be on board with such an idea. The only obstacle is whether they could make his live-action appearance both meaningful and memorable. Potential cameos are always fun to talk about, but Lucasfilm isn’t going to pull the trigger on something unless it fits their narrative. At this point, all we can do is hope.
