Live-Action Thrawn In Development

The Star Wars universe has its fair share of heroes and villains. Thrawn is among the elite villains in the galaxy. When Disney acquired Lucasfilm back in 2012, the character’s future was uncertain.

Years later, Timothy Zahn brought back the infamous villain. In 2014, Dave Filoni utilized the character in the animated TV show, Rebels. Since then, Thrawn’s popularity has expanded and become well-known.

With the arrival of the Thrawn Ascendancy book series beginning this September, things are beginning to heat up.

According to Daniel Ritchman via his Patreon, he claims, “Live action version of Thrawn also on the way. I don’t have any more details right now but just wanted to share.”

Unfortunately, no specifics were given, but I believe it is no coincidence since an announcement yesterday by The Illuminerdi stated that a live-action Ezra Bridger is also in development. Somehow, I believe these two announcements are interconnected.

Hopefully, Lucasfilm will clear up some of these rumors this summer during Star Wars Celebration
