U.K. Starts TV Production, ‘Cassian’ Scheduled to Shoot this Month

It may seem like COVID’s effects will last forever, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

According to Variety, the U.K. film and high-end television industry is cautiously moving forward with production. They will be following “government-endorsed guidelines for working safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Visual effects and post-production also have official guidelines for moving forward and starting work.

This is good news for Star Wars fans. The Cassian Andor series was originally scheduled to begin shooting this month in the U.K. With these new guidelines in place, Lucasfilm can safely start work on the show. It may not happen as quickly as usual, but it’s progress!

It’s small, but it’s a start. Let’s hang in there, Star Wars fans! May the Force be with you!
